Trevira CS®, the brand of flame-retardant fabrics for hotels

A wide variety of fabrics for all fields of application

Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, listed on the stock exchange in Thailand (Bloomberg ticker IVL.TB), is one of the world's leading manufacturers of petrochemical products, with a global production presence in Europe, Africa, the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region. The company's portfolio includes Combined PET, Fibers and Indovinya (formerly Integrated Oxides and Derivatives).

Indorama Ventures' products supply the main consumer goods, agriculture, lifestyle and automotive sectors, including the beverage, hygiene, personal care, tire and safety segments. Indorama Ventures employs approximately 26 000 people worldwide and reported revenue of 15,6 billion dollars for 2023.

The company is included in the Dow Jones Emerging Markets and World Sustainability indices (DJSI).

Trevira CS®, a brand of Indorama Ventures, designates fabrics whose low flammability has been tested and which have received the Trevira CS brand authorization. They meet the requirements of the relevant international standards for fire protection of interior textiles and can be certified in accordance with IMO rules for the maritime sector.

The production of modified, flame-retardant staple fibers and filament yarns is fully integrated in-house. Two production sites, which manufacture the permanently flame-retardant polyester suitable for Trevira CS, are located in Germany. Unlike fabrics with a flame-retardant finish, which may lose their initial protection through use, aging or frequent washing, Trevira CS textiles offer long-term safety.

This is due to the chemical structure of the polyester fiber: the flame-retardant properties are firmly anchored in the fiber and cannot be washed out.

Among the latest developments from Trevira® are 30 solution-dyed, UV-stable filament yarns, which are particularly suitable for outdoor fabrics. In addition, flame-retardant fibers and yarns made from chemically recycled raw materials are under development and pave the way for a circular economy.

Thanks to their inherent flame-retardant properties, all Trevira CS fabrics create a safe, attractive and comfortable environment for hotels, restaurants, hospitals, offices, public buildings, railways, aircraft and cruise ships. A wide range of collections with thousands of designs is available worldwide. The fabrics are used as curtains, sheer curtains, decorative and upholstery fabrics, in interior sun protection and as wall coverings or room dividers.
