About Véronique Morrien, the founder
Véronique Morrien has loved wallpaper since childhood: as a little girl, she was fascinated by the wallpapers covering the walls of her grandparents' house.
As an adult, she fell in love all over again when visiting the ?Maison & Objet? trade show: around a corner of an aisle, she was captivated by a gigantic wallpaper panel depicting a lush jungle.
?The effervescence of life was so real that you could almost hear the birdsong, the rustling of branches or the roar of a waterfall. I had just found the product I wanted to distribute!?, she says.
She then decided to create an online shop entirely dedicated to wallpaper, in its most original and luxurious forms. She named it La Maison Muraem, a name combining ?mur? (French for wall), the surface for wallpaper, and the initials of her children Antoine and Margot.
