The Guerlain Spa at InterContinental Bordeaux Voted Best Luxury Hotel Spa

The Guerlain Spa at InterContinental Bordeaux - Le Grand Hôtel has just received the award for best Luxury Hotel Spa for Western Europe 2019 (?2019 Luxury Hotel Spa for Western Europe?) at the World Luxury Spa Awards ceremony, held last weekend in Saint Petersburg.
The Guerlain Spa at InterContinental Bordeaux was also honored with the award for best Luxury Rooftop Spa in Europe 2019 (?2019 Luxury Rooftop Spa for Europe?) at the same event.
Located on the top floor of the legendary 5-star hotel, the Guerlain Spa at InterContinental Bordeaux is a 1000 m2 space for relaxation and well-being, featuring 8 treatment rooms, a sauna and a hammam. The terrace of its rooftop, ?La Night Beach?, offers an exceptional view of the Grand-Théâtre and the city. When the warm weather arrives, a jacuzzi invites guests to unwind in front of the splendid panorama, while a bar and food service is also available.
The other centerpiece of the Guerlain Spa is its vast relaxation pool designed by Jacques Garcia, framed by red and gold columns and dressed in majestic drapes. It is topped by a luminous glass roof set within a deep black ceiling, studded with small twinkling lights like a starry sky. Overlooking it, a tea room looks out over this theatrically decorated body of water, inviting rest and letting go.
Led by Alexandrine Canin, the Guerlain Spa has created an exclusive treatment for InterContinental Bordeaux - Le Grand Hôtel: Miroir d'Eau. A true tribute to the women of Bordeaux, this facial treatment is a genuinely restorative interlude that allows the skin to regain its hydration while fighting the signs of aging.
The World Luxury Spa and Restaurant Awards recognize the world's best luxury spas every year. More than 250 000 international travelers vote each year over four weeks to choose the winners of this prestigious distinction in more than 70 different categories.
?This award recognizes the daily, passionate work of a team whose goal is to raise InterContinental Bordeaux – Le Grand Hôtel to the rank of global benchmark for the French art of living,? says Thomas Bourdois, General Manager of the hotel since 2017.
