Sustainability and eco-responsibility: with its CARE ABOUT EARTH programme, Groupe GM is committed to a comprehensive approach.
For more than 45 years, GROUPE GM has been the French leader in hospitality amenities (cosmetics and neutral or customisable accessories). With the launch of its CARE ABOUT EARTH programme in 2019, Groupe GM made eco-design its priority. The group has set itself the goal of limiting the environmental impact of its products as much as possible and now offers sustainable solutions for both cosmetics and accessories.
DAMANA Terre & Soleil SOLIDE is a new eco-friendly and vegan bath ritual. This line, presented in FSC-certified cardboard cases, is an innovative alternative to plastic. The products contain 9 times less water than liquid products. They are formulated with ingredients of natural origin and enriched with aromatic plant extracts. Being travel-friendly, they are also easy to carry and reusable.
Ecofill is a recycled plastic bottle that can be easily refilled using a sealed pouch. This innovative system avoids any risk of bacterial contamination and ensures product traceability. Plastic consumption is also greatly reduced: with only 8g of recyclable plastic per 400 ml pouch, this system uses 33 times less plastic compared to the use of 30ml bottles.
Groupe GM offers RSPO-certified soaps as well as formulas containing a high percentage of ingredients of natural origin. Groupe GM's organic products are ECOCERT certified and carry the COSMEBIO label. Groupe GM has also obtained ECOLABEL certification, which aims to minimise the impact of products on the ecosystem and favours reducing packaging waste, for three of its product lines (Ecopump Algotherm, Apothicals by Damana and Scandinavian White).
Groupe GM offers Ecopump tubes, bottles and dispensers made entirely of plant-based plastic (derived from sugar cane) or recycled plastic. The pumps are made of bioresin and the caps of recycled plastic.
Eco-friendly accessories
Groupe GM now offers plastic-free solutions for most accessories. This has been made possible by eliminating packaging containing plastic and giving priority to plant-based materials such as bamboo, corn and straw.
