Sempa unveils the first professional, eco-responsible manual juicer

With around sixty models and a leading position in the citrus juicing machine market, Sempa is launching its first eco-responsible juicer. With no motor and no electronics, the "Eco" machine runs on human energy while being designed for the professional market.

?The machine develops a pressing force of 35 kg, which allows the user to press citrus fruit easily with a single turn of the handle,? explains Pascal Faucher, President of Sempa. It took eighteen months of R&D to develop the "Eco", which delivers one liter of orange juice in one minute and forty-five seconds.

The machine incorporates the brand's fundamentals, namely the patented dynamic knife that slices the fruit while eliminating traces of essential oils and bitterness from the peel, the dome-shaped presses, the separation between the food zone and the technical zone, and the unique cross. ?Because the machine operates more slowly, it is more efficient and yields 2 to 3% more juice from the same quantity of oranges,? continues Pascal Faucher. 13 to 14 kg of oranges can thus be placed in the storage basket.

In its first year, the juicer will be available for rental only. ?The machine has its place in a brasserie or on a hotel breakfast buffet. It perfectly meets the needs of professionals who run eco-lodges and, more broadly, of professionals who are attentive to their customers' expectations regarding responsible consumption,? the company head states.
