Panasonic unveils its heating & air conditioning solutions for the hospitality industry

Panasonic Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration reminds the market that it offers, particularly for hotels and restaurants, the widest range of air conditioning, hot water production and ventilation solutions available to date.
The manufacturer is also one of the only players on the market to offer refrigeration solutions running on a natural refrigerant, CO2, ideal for cold rooms and refrigerated display cases.

Panasonic is able to offer the best-suited solution for ANY type of project. The savings offered by its solutions, combined with the possibility of choosing between electricity and gas, significantly reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

Hybrid gas + electric VRF solution
For a system with high energy performance and low electricity consumption, it may be worth considering a solution combining an electric-motor VRF with a Panasonic natural-gas-powered engine-driven VRF (ECO G), paired with direct expansion indoor units or a hydraulic module for heating or cooling.

In addition, when a large quantity of hot water is needed, the residual heat of the engine can be recovered free of charge to produce hot water up to 65°C.

Fully electric-motor ECOi VRF solution, in 2 and 3 pipes.
When installation flexibility is the priority and the availability of the power supply is not an issue, ECOi, the electric VRF range, is the ideal choice. It can be connected to direct expansion indoor units or to hydraulic modules. The Panasonic air handling unit kit can connect the ECOi range to an air handling unit with a direct expansion coil. A hot water tank up to 65°C ?Polar energi? can be connected to Panasonic 2-pipe or 3-pipe VRF systems.

Finally, the new Panasonic refrigerant recovery system in case of leaks can complete the setup: it detects refrigerant leaks and activates the pump-down system.

The Panasonic advantages:
• Freed-up space: thanks to the compactness and installation flexibility of its systems, it becomes easy to free up space for facilities intended for the public: terraces, swimming pools, meeting rooms, car parks.
• Shut-off valves: when future extensions are planned on Panasonic VRF systems, the installation can be designed by sizing the units according to future needs.
• A wide range of indoor units: a complete range of indoor units that adapt to all needs. All units are supplied with a discharge and intake air temperature sensor to limit the feeling of drafts and operate quietly to guarantee maximum comfort for guests.
• A PKEA indoor unit for server rooms: it guarantees constant cooling, even at an outdoor temperature of -20°C, while maintaining high efficiency.
• Numerous controls are also available: from a simple user control to full remote control of the system via the cloud box. Fully touchscreen remote control, with configurable hotel logo, web server, energy consumption monitoring, smartphone control... everything is possible.
• Compatibility with different protocols: Panasonic solutions work with the common protocols: KNX / EnOcean / Modbus / LonWorks / BACnet, allowing monitoring and control of all operating parameters.
• Maximum savings on hot water production: choosing the Panasonic gas VRF also means being able to heat swimming pools, spas and laundries free of charge thanks to the residual heat generated by the ECO G units.

Focus on Panasonic refrigeration units
Compact and ideal for commercial premises, the Panasonic CO? condensing unit of 4 kW can operate at two evaporation temperatures: -20°C for refrigeration, and down to -45°C for freezing. Running on a natural refrigerant, CO? (GWP of 1), it is one of the most environmentally friendly refrigeration solutions on the market. This condensing unit also works with cold rooms to maintain an optimal temperature, thereby guaranteeing the freshness and safety of food

The 15kW unit, available in two versions (standard heat exchanger and with anti-corrosion protection), offers a wide choice of environmentally friendly refrigeration systems suited to convenience stores, small supermarkets and service station shops, which need solutions able to cover several refrigerated display cases and cold rooms. The Panasonic 15kW unit can operate at evaporation temperatures down to -20°C.
