Louvre Hotels Group opens its first "Smart"-labelled hotel

Louvre Hotels Group has just inaugurated a new hotel concept that integrates new technologies into a completely redesigned guest journey. The hotel, a product of the group's Innovation Center, is opening in the heart of Shanghai, in the Jing An district.
Louvre Hotels Group is convinced that the hotel of tomorrow must be connected, eco-friendly, secure and a source of well-being, while encouraging interaction and the human experience. The SmartHotel is a living space where new technologies simplify the guest journey in order to better strengthen guests' interactions with staff, who are made more available, and to facilitate interactions with other travelers. The Campanile Jing An Shanghai hotel was selected to embody the group's first SmartHotel. The Campanile brand indeed has all the assets needed to support this new open, technological and eco-friendly positioning.
A new kind of hospitality
From the outdoor garden to the lounge area, including the terrace and the restaurant, technology is deployed discreetly to meet guests' individual needs while encouraging human interaction. Upon arrival, guests enjoy an automated check-in desk, a mobile room key, and even a welcome robot, and can call on hotel staff whenever they wish.
In the restaurant, technology takes the form of a simple QR code that guests scan to track their order, pay their bill or split it. They can also, if they wish, personalize their cappuccino thanks to a foam printer that reproduces the design of their choice. To stimulate everyone's creativity and encourage exchanges, the hotel is designed around an auditorium open to the lobby, housing a giant interactive screen. In this space, guests can cowork, but also enjoy movie or video game nights as a community.
Once in the room, nothing is left to chance in order to deliver a tailor-made experience. Guests' new personal assistant is a robot that manages all their needs and the room settings, from light intensity to video and audio devices, including air quality.
Technology serving hotel staff
The SmartHotel is designed to improve the guest experience, but also to streamline and simplify the lives of teams and staff. Reception, housekeeping and maintenance teams thus have at their disposal a single app in which they can centralize all their actions. A light bulb to change, a room completed, a meal ready: everything appears on the same app for simplified communication and smoother tasks.
A "Smart" label adaptable to all of the group's brands
Because Louvre Hotels Group has always been committed to making its innovations accessible to all guests, all of the group's brands, from economy to upscale, will be able to apply for this label. The group's ambition is to create a true ecosystem of smart hotels around the world.
?We are very proud of the SmartHotel label, which is the first project to come out of our ?Innovation Center’ set up between Paris and Shanghai. We are starting the test phase at the Campanile Jing An in the heart of Shanghai, and will then roll out this new approach to the guest journey worldwide and across all our brands.?
