Louis Roitel: Between Craftsmanship and Modernity

The Baden collection, a collaboration with Jacques Garcia

Founded in 2018, Louis Roitel, a subsidiary of the D. ROITEL Group, works with the house of Henryot & Cie and benefits from its centuries-old expertise. Today, Dominique, the 5ème generation of the family, runs the family business, always showing the same passion and the same love of beautiful things.

The collections are made with the greatest respect for the traditions and values of chair-making and fine cabinetmaking, by talented master craftsmen (compagnons) who have completed a meticulous seven- to eight-year training. All of this ancestral know-how forms an intangible heritage of inestimable richness.

Thanks to these skills, the D. ROITEL Group has held the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) label since March 2007, a recognition from the French State intended to showcase companies that work in accordance with the rules of the craft. Able to combine tradition and innovation, they fulfil the most daring orders while promoting made-in-France expertise.

At the end of 2016, the house of Louis Roitel also received the IG (Geographical Indication) label for Siège de Liffol. This label is the first certification awarded by the INPI to master chair-makers in the east of France. It recognizes the concentration of exceptional expertise and the use of select, environmentally friendly materials. The IG Siège de Liffol guarantees excellent production, enabling the house of Louis Roitel to collaborate with the greatest decorators, designers and architects to furnish some of the most prestigious venues in the world.

Louis Roitel & the designers

So when Dominique Roitel talks about the new projects close to his heart, the designers' response is immediately enthusiastic. The idea of fully customizable luxury chairs offered and sold online delights these artists.

To nurture the most varied inspirations, Louis Roitel has selected a group of designers with very distinctive sensibilities and worlds. Together with the talented architect-decorator and decorator Jacques Garcia, they have brought the Baden Collection to life: a banquette, a slipper chair and a pouf with a lounge spirit.
