The specific qualities of Flight
Unlike traditional acrylic shower trays, Flight offers superior robustness. A resin made of a hardener and a mineral filler, 5 to 20 mm thick, between two acrylic sheets explains the strength of the material, which can support a weight of 300 kilos.
Flight is also 20% lighter on average than ceramic, making installation easier. Flight acrylic is also less sensitive to impact than ceramic, which is prone to chipping.

The acrylic sheet is naturally non-slip, unlike ceramic, which is much more slippery. This safety aspect is particularly sought after by seniors, who tend to replace their bathtub with a shower.
Finally, Jacob Delafon is innovating by using antibacterial-treated acrylic sheets incorporating silver ions that destroy 99% of bacteria after 24 hours, naturally and without the need for chemical products.
The extra-flat shower trays (height 4 cm) respect dimensions to the millimetre, and their corners are almost square (ceramic corners are more rounded).

More fashionable and more attractive once installed, especially when set flush into the floor, the extra-flat shower tray requires a less visible silicone sealing joint, which is therefore more hygienic (limiting yellowing and mould) between the tray and the tiles.
An extensive range thanks to a technology that covers all dimensions up to 170 cm long, whereas ceramic is limited to a maximum of 120 cm.

The range thus includes 4 different shapes - square, rectangular, quarter-circle, pentagonal - and comes in 30 different sizes, making it one of the widest on the market.
