Introducing Vescom's new sheer curtain fabrics: Teon and Nias

How sheer can a sheer curtain be? Teon and Nias, two new flame-retardant polyester curtain fabrics for Vescom's international contract market, are examples of openness and lightness. They offer privacy and connection by creating subtle floor-to-ceiling boundaries that do not block the view and balance light levels. Vibrant and expressive, Teon and Nias enable architects and designers to add a touch of comfort, luxury and color (with recycled materials in the case of Nias) to commercial interiors.

Made in Vescom's weaving mill, Teon and Nias offer a variety of meshes and scales. Nias has a tightly woven structure, while the oversized mesh of Teon is a true technical feat. These sheer curtains evoke robust architectural structures, yet feel incredibly soft. Resembling a flowing wall more than a classic curtain, their graphic lines create a dynamic lattice of light and shadow in modern spaces.

Teon: a flame-retardant curtain fabric embodying the meeting of bold lines and incredible lightness

Despite its graphic presence, Teon is incredibly fluid and light. Elegant and refined, it is available in 12 colors, from cooler tones such as steel blue and emerald green to warm shades of copper, terracotta and bamboo, as well as many neutral shades. Teon's resemblance to modern architectural grids is reinforced by a palette of greys, ranging from steel silver to warm concrete.

Nias: durable structured softness for flame-retardant curtains

Offering durable structured softness, Nias uses Vescom's new yarn made from 100% recycled PET bottles to produce a fabric made of 78% recycled material. Its slightly denser weave blurs and softens what is visible behind it. Nias is available in 13 accessible colors, including warm ocher, vibrant orange, sky blue and dusty pink, as well as a wide range of modern neutrals. Nias embodies Vescom's eco-responsible awareness. The fabric complements Vescom's new family of upholstery fabrics made from 100% recycled plastic waste, making it easy to combine several interior elements that share the same sustainable message.
