The Montreux Jazz Festival has entered into a long-term partnership with iKentoo SA, the Swiss company specializing in publishing iPad point-of-sale software. Starting in 2019, iKentoo will be the festival's official supplier of cash registers and management system, thereby contributing to the digitalization and optimization of the festival's operations.
Since its creation in 1967, the Montreux Jazz Festival has established itself on the international music scene. Founded by the trio Claude Nobs, René Langel and Géo Voumard, it is now a must-attend event that brings together audiences of all ages and musical tastes.
To make service at the bars and food stands easier, the Montreux Jazz Festival has decided to continue its digitalization, this time by adopting a connected cash register. The call for tenders was won by iKentoo SA, which has been developing iPad-based point-of-sale systems in France and Switzerland since 2011. Today one of the market leaders in iPad point-of-sale solutions and management systems for the restaurant industry, the company will equip all points of sale during the festival, i.e. more than 50 stands, bars and restaurants. In total, 91 iPads running the iKentoo system will be deployed on site.
The goal of this partnership? To make service and management easier through the collection and analysis of the data passing through the cash registers. By using iKentoo, the festival aims to optimize its revenue by automating and centralizing all of its F&B operations. For example, inventory management will be automated and accessible in real time in order to prevent any stock shortages for the bars and restaurants.
iKentoo is a leader in high-performance iPad cash registers for the restaurant industry. iKentoo equips more than 4000 customers in 28 countries. In France, iKentoo serves a number of restaurant groups such as Big Mamma Group (La Felicità, Ober Mamma, East Mamma…), the Alto Café and Yogurt Factory franchises, and also the Hard Rock Cafe Lyon.
