Hospitality Brain Trusts: the 4 truths worth telling

Hospitality Brain Trusts: the 4 truths worth telling

EquipHotel and MKG Consulting invited a panel of hoteliers and entrepreneurs to the Hospitality Brain Trusts. The idea: to exchange and share views in 4 workshops, each on a theme of the EquipHotel Paris 2024 show: Tech & Services (Is the arrival of AI a source of productivity gains in day-to-day management?); Design & Layout (How can design become a key to the customer experience?); Wellness (Can quality and profitability be reconciled?); and Foodservice (How has Food & Beverage successfully made the shift to eatertainment and a profitable business?).

As a prelude to the presentation of the workshop findings on 5 and 6 November 2024 at the EquipHotel show, 4 truths are already worth telling:

TECH & SERVICES
?Technology must not make the hotelier's profession lose its soul. It is always better to favour ?Revenez management’ over ?Revenue management’.?
Georges Sampeur, Chairman of the Boards of Directors of the Pierre&Vacances – Center Parcs group and the B&B Hotels group.

DESIGN & LAYOUT
?The mission of design is to create places that generate well-being, calm or even joy, depending on each space. It contributes to re-enchanting everyday life.?
Stella Cadente, Associate CEO of Studio Stella Cadente, a global design agency specialising in Hospitality.

WELLNESS
?The spa is by no means a hotel's pet project but a tremendous source of appeal and profitability, provided that best practices are applied beyond simply creating a magical place.?
Stéphane Reumont, General Manager of the Spa at the Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne.

FOODSERVICE
?F&B in hotels can regain its prestige and profitability through a space where it is good to live, have a drink, have lunch, listen to music, a place that is completely open to its neighbourhood and its city.?
Serge Trigano, former CEO of Club Med and founder of the Mama Shelter concept.

Hoteliers and restaurateurs face new challenges in maintaining profitability, guaranteeing quality service and meeting customer expectations. This phase of transformation requires adaptation, imagination and boldness. Hence the theme of this 2024 edition of the EquipHotel show, which is none other than: Let's dare! ?

Béatrice Gravier, Director of the EquipHotel Paris show 2024
