EquipHotel 2018, the laboratory of inspiration for hospitality professionals

EquipHotel 2018, the laboratory of inspiration for hospitality professionals

EquipHotel 2018 cultivates expertise, with the credo of embodying the sector's strong values in order to shift the lines. Innovation remains the driving force of change. Like the 2016 edition, EquipHotel 2018 continues to bring together the finest names in the sector (architects, designers, venue owners, chefs, etc.) to decode emerging trends and bring them to life.

Future consumption patterns will be highlighted, and their impact on the hotel and restaurant market translated and analyzed. At the helm of the 2018 edition, the most inspired (Jean-Philippe Nuel, Julie Gauthron, Christophe Gautrand, Benjamin Deshoulières, Marc Hertrich, Nicolas Adnet, the Knoll brothers...) are back to offer new experiences.

Thierry Virvaire and Sandrine Alouf join the list to stage a new Bar Lounge Restaurant, Casa de Luz, within the new Design hub (hall 3). It is a challenge in an environment that will showcase the colors and the easygoing lifestyle of Portugal.

STUDIO18: the laboratory of tomorrow's hotel experience
For its 2ème edition, the STUDIO18 is still at the cutting edge of trends and innovation. Conceived as a pop-up hotel of more than 3 000 m², spread over the three floors of hall 7, it features spectacular settings which, this year, will each be located within the worlds of the hubs they illustrate.

In hall 7.1, Jean-Philippe Nuel will present his vision of the guest room and its necessary modularity. From hyper-personalization to services, it will focus on room service.
In hall 7.2, the duo Marc Hertrich and Nicolas Adnet continues its work on dining spaces through the Resto des Chefs, the Bar and the VIP/Press Club. Gastronomy, the bar and snacking will find new fields of expression there, set against layouts that give free rein to new ways of living.
In hall 7.3, Julie Gauthron, Benjamin Deshoulières and Christophe Gautrand take on the ?Digital rooftop?! This convivial space open to the outdoors is at the heart of the hotel's activity. Between co-working and events, it comes alive in a start-up spirit to restore the hotel's role as a full-fledged place to live.

Focus on the Design hub
Visiting is made easier with the creation of the Design hub within the interconnected halls 2, 3 and 4. Now brought together, the ?Decor-Design-Fit-out? offering unfolds along an efficient, newly orchestrated visitor route, accompanied by unprecedented collaborations to bring it to life. In partnership with l'Ameublement Français, EquipHotel will thus be able to unite all players in the fitting out and furnishing of living spaces.

The Interior Design Centre will be located right in the heart of the show's design offering, close to the entrance of hall 3. It will be run by the teams of l'Ameublement Français and laid out by the Conseil Français des Architectes d'Intérieur (CFAI), and its mission will be to welcome architects, interior architects, designers, buyers, contractors, design offices, fitters, and restaurant or hotel owners looking for information, services, meetings and conviviality. In the weeks before the event, the selected guests will receive a dedicated invitation with a badge giving access to the space.

This space will feature a café/bookshop area with cloakroom and wifi. It will offer a ?Favorites? route with products and services preselected in advance, which will be entered in the l'Ameublement Français Contract awards, decided by the press and industry professionals. Rewarding a trio – furniture brand, architect and venue owner – for their fit-out project, these projects will be exhibited in the space throughout the show, with an awards ceremony set for Wednesday, November 14.

Hall 3 also offers spaces and trends that reinforce the energy of EquipHotel's Design world. The Signature area, redesigned and expanded for its second edition, will bring together a selection of about twenty labels in fabrics, flooring, curtains, decoration... These publishers position themselves in the premium fit-out market and respond to the strong trend toward personalization of venues, whether hotels or restaurants. A bar will be set up with a new scenography, and the first influential brands have confirmed their participation: Angelo, Arte, Bisson Bruneel, Casal, Charles Burger, Créations Métaphores, Elitis, Lelievre, Catry, Romo, Rubelli, Silentgliss.

Focus on the Foodservice hub
The Foodservice hub brings together gastronomy with the Resto des Chefs, Snacking and the bar in one space. From highly high-quality in their respective experiences to inspirational in their expression, these spaces, skillfully staged by the architect duo Marc Hertrich and Nicolas Adnet, are above all meeting and exchange places for professional visitors. Nevertheless, they bring together all aspects of serving and preparing meals and drinks, each in its own register, to reflect foodservice trends.

Focus on the Wellness hub
The Wellness hub puts hygiene in the spotlight by bringing together the bathroom, spa, linen and textile sectors. Taking care of oneself and others is the mission assigned to wellness. Organizing it, strengthening it and showcasing it is part of the hotel business. While pleasure and relaxation are becoming must-haves, staff working comfort also demands full attention. The Spa Centre and the Ergo room thus put people back at the heart of the approach.

Focus on the Technology hub
Innovation in the Technology hub is the driving force of tourism as a service industry. Whether in hotels or restaurants, digital proves to be an effective tool to support check-in, booking, etc. Here, expertise, start-up inventiveness and know-how are essential to provide ever more comfort solutions in venues. On this floor, ?lab? and technology go hand in hand, open to all exchanges in the convivial setting of the STUDIO18 Digital Rooftop.

Focus on the Service hub
Experiencing hospitality/foodservice in 2018 means integrating all the factors of success. Hall 7.1 brings together solutions and advice for service in hotel chains and restaurants. Human capital joins forces here with service connectivity to become an active staff member within venues. Giving ease means offering guests a personalized service as well as integrating the service mechanics at staff level. Between showcase and functionality, the STUDIO18 room created by architect Jean-Philippe Nuel provides the keys to a well-oiled routine.
