DuPont™ Teflon® unveils new non-stick systems

DuPont's presence at the Ambiente trade fair 2011 (Frankfurt, Germany, 11 to 15 February 2011) will be marked by the introduction of new non-stick technologies that meet changing consumer expectations for cookware and bakeware, as well as by the celebration of 50 years of innovation in DuPont™ Teflon® coated cookware.

At its stand (E50 - Hall 3.0), visitors will be able to discover new, more sustainable Teflon® non-stick systems for consumer bakeware, as well as a new and elegant surface offering excellent scratch and abrasion resistance for cookware.

More sustainable non-stick bakeware for consumers
DuPont has recently extended the use of its new generation of Teflon® non-stick coatings to consumer bakeware. These coatings are based on more sustainable chemical formulations while retaining the outstanding non-stick properties associated with the Teflon® brand.

To mark this launch, DuPont has also realigned its range of non-stick systems for bakeware under the Teflon® Classic, Teflon® Select and Teflon® Platinum labels. Like all Teflon® coatings, the new systems deliver excellent non-stick performance and ease of cleaning, are dishwasher safe and allow cooking with very little fat, or even none at all.

Teflon® performance now available in a natural ivory color
An elegant natural ivory color will also be presented at Ambiente 2011. By optimizing the technology of its non-stick systems, DuPont has been able to retain the traditional durability and non-stick performance of Teflon® - the best on the market - while improving its stain resistance. This new non-stick system will be available during 2011 following the granting of a license to European customers who request it.

A pioneer in non-stick coatings - and still at the forefront
DuPont's presence at Ambiente 2011 will also mark a significant anniversary for DuPont™ Teflon® non-stick coatings used in cookware: 50 years ago, in 1961, the first cookware coated with Teflon® non-stick appeared in stores in the United States, after the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved their use in cookware and food processing.

Since then, Teflon® has become one of the most widely recognized brands among the general public worldwide, synonymous with durability and non-stick performance that ensure convenience and healthier food - qualities that have led consumers and professionals alike to buy more than two billion pots, pans and other utensils coated with Teflon®.

Ambiente 2011 will also see the launch of the new global campaign ?My Life History,? which highlights both the heritage of the Teflon® brand and its new technological advances.
