Delabie's TEMPOMATIC 4 electronic urinal tap wins design award

DELABIE's new TEMPOMATIC 4 electronic urinal tap, concealed in an innovative box, has won the GERMAN DESIGN AWARD 2018 with the "Winner" distinction.

The award
The German Design Award is one of the most widely recognized design competitions in the world and enjoys a great reputation that extends well beyond specialist circles. Each year, a carefully selected group of product and communication design entries are rewarded for their individual, innovative contribution to the development of the international design landscape.

The competition sets high standards in the selection of its winners: thanks to its unique nomination procedure, only products that clearly stand out for the quality of their design are invited to compete.

The Winner
The TEMPOMATIC 4 urinal tap convinced the jury with a design that combines aesthetics and functionality: the electronics are integrated directly into the plate.
It also helps optimize water consumption while ensuring optimal hygiene. DELABIE has developed an "intelligent" urinal tap capable of detecting busy periods and adapting its flushing. During these periods, the volume of water is reduced so as to rinse only the bowl between uses. At the end of the period, an additional flush is carried out to clean the bowl completely.

The flush of the concealed TEMPOMATIC 4 urinal tap is triggered automatically when each user leaves. The absence of manual contact prevents the transmission of germs by hands. Periodic flushing prevents bacterial growth as well as trap siphoning.

The TEMPOMATIC 4 is supplied with an anti-stagnation solenoid valve.
The box can be installed in many ways: fixed from the sides on Placoplatre® rails, from the front on a solid wall or from the back on a panel. The length of the cuttable box adapts to a facing of up to 120 mm: thick facing (brick or concrete blocks) for public facilities highly exposed to vandalism.

The concealed TEMPOMATIC 4 urinal tap is connected from outside the box.
For maintenance, the solenoid valve, the filter and the stop valve are accessible from the front without removing the box. Simply remove the plate to access them. The tap is resistant to greywater and seawater. To make frost protection or heavy maintenance easier, the tap can be disconnected and dismantled from the inside, without removing the box. The timeless design plate of the TEMPOMATIC 4 is available in a polished, satin or white finish.
