CIAT Major Line comfort units

CIAT Major Line comfort units
A new range of comfort units, Major Line is available in more than 50 versions in stock, with cooling capacities ranging from 700W to 9KW under Eurovent conditions.

Its resolutely modern design blends perfectly with all types of interiors, and its energy consumption is on average 20% lower than that of previous-generation models.

To achieve 20% energy savings, the CIAT teams first redeveloped a new volute geometry specifically for this range, and numerous airflow studies were carried out specifically to improve the efficiency of the new motors.

Next, Major Line uses HEE (High Energy Efficiency) fans, a CIAT technology based on a very high-efficiency blade profile. For even more performance, these units can optionally be fitted with HEE Brushless motors, which are 85% more economical.

In these motors, the absence of brushes naturally reduces mechanical friction during rotation. They have better efficiency, generate less noise and have a longer service life. Finally, the thermal performance of the comfort units has been optimized by increasing the front surface area of the hydraulic coil.

The Major Line range is also distinguished by the breadth of cooling capacities offered: from 0.7KW to 9KW under Eurovent conditions (7/12°C-27°C-19°(WB)). It can thus, for example, adapt both to new low-energy-consumption buildings (BBC) and to geographical areas requiring high capacity. About a dozen Major Line sizes are offered, each available in four basic configurations (cased vertical, cased horizontal, uncased vertical, uncased horizontal).

They do not require any specific control system, as they are all compatible with CIAT controls.

Major Line also means next-generation comfort
A reduction of 1 to 3 Db in the sound level has thus been achieved, thanks to the new volute and fan geometries and the use of more absorbent materials such as ABS and EPS.

In addition, an optimized air diffusion grille was developed in our Research and Innovation center for greater overall comfort.

Finally, the breadth of the Major Line range makes it possible to always find the best-sized solution, matching each application as closely as possible.

Beyond optimized energy efficiency, the environmental dimension is strongly present in the Major Line range. Multiple eco-design studies were carried out to reduce the number of parts making up each comfort unit. In addition, these parts were chosen for their ability to be recycled at end of life.

The design of the entire system has also been optimized so that as few parts as possible need to be replaced or removed during maintenance operations.

For example, if necessary, the motor alone can be replaced rather than the entire motor-fan assembly, as was done on previous-generation units.

Installation and maintenance of Major Line comfort units are particularly easy. The filters are easily accessible, and all speeds are brought back to the electrical terminal block and quickly available on site for customized adjustment.

The casing is easily removable with 2 screws at the bottom... For added safety, the entire electrical connection section is enclosed in 1 box, which can only be accessed with a tool.

A wide range of options and accessories is available for the entire range:

- left/right hydraulic connections for easier adaptation to renovated buildings

- cased or uncased models with standard air return (configuration 1, 41, 1V and 41V) and front air return (configuration 1D, 41D, 1VD and 41VD)

- supply and return grilles, fresh air mixing boxes, floor stands, flexible hoses, etc.

- control valves in kit form
