Chef & Sommelier partners with Worldsom, the international training school for sommeliers

Worldsom, in partnership with Chef&Sommelier and the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has inaugurated the first session of the World Sommelier Academy in Bordeaux.
Worldsom is a training school in Bordeaux, unique in the world, for wine experts. The school aims to be a benchmark in continuing education for the sommelier profession. It is intended for professionals seeking in-depth expertise in sommellerie.
Over three months, 11 students from around the world will attend 350 hours of practical and theoretical classes at the premises of the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The classes are taught by the best international specialists and sommeliers. Worldsom is indeed supported by an outstanding teaching committee that includes figures such as the Best Sommeliers of the World and of Europe, like Serge Dubs, Philippe Faure-Brac, Gérard Basset and Paolo Basso, alongside experts such as Georges Lepré, Richard Bernard and Didier Bureau.
All tasting classes will use Chef&Sommelier tasting glasses and decanters, selected by WorldSom for their technical qualities and durability, which both leading experts and students will be able to appreciate.
They will thus not only be trained in elite tasting but also made aware of the importance of the glass in tasting.
Chef & Sommelier, the 100% expert brand dedicated to professionals and connoisseurs, develops lines of glasses and decanters designed for the optimal tasting of wines and spirits, such as its emblematic lines Open Up, Arom'Up, OEnologue Expert and Grands Cépages.
Recognized by sommeliers, oenologists and wine lovers both for the quality of the glass and the technical performance of its glasses in wine tasting, as well as for their design, it manufactures its glasses in France, using a revolutionary glass material: Kwarx®.
