A new temporary, nomadic accommodation concept from AccorHotels

Building on the success of its pilot project, initially tested in France at various cultural, sporting and artistic events, the innovative Flying Nest concept is now entering its commercialization phase on the B2B market.
Flying Nest: nomadic, designer and temporary hospitality
This new mobile and sustainable accommodation concept, with a bold design, is part of AccorHotels' innovation approach. The Group constantly rethinks the hospitality of tomorrow to meet a strong trend: experiencing exclusive and intense experiences.
AccorHotels has a twofold objective: to offer its guests unique stay experiences at exceptional events and to meet accommodation needs when hotel capacity is saturated.
?Originally developed for a B2B clientele (event agencies, trade show organizers, festivals, events, corporate, AccorHotels partners, etc.), the Flying Nest concept could also be offered to a B2C target during 2019?, said Sébastien Dupic, New Business Director at AccorHotels.
A mobile and flexible accommodation concept
The Flying Nest accommodation solution is built from converted shipping containers, which allows the modules to be transported easily and quickly.
To build the rooms and deliver this innovative concept in record time, AccorHotels partnered with Capsa, a Lyon-based start-up specializing in the conversion of these modules.
A bold, modern design serving comfort and connectivity
Ora-ïto designed these mobile rooms. Created to offer an experience that is both functional and pleasant, each cluster (made up of six modules) was crafted with raw, natural materials and then fitted with all the comforts of a hotel room (Sweet Bed by ibis bedding, a private bathroom, an air-conditioned living space and a wifi connection).
?The layout of the clusters, the terrace and the large opening to the outdoors that each room enjoys allow guests to experience their stay in total immersion, at the heart of the experience?, said Damien Perrot, Senior Vice President Design at AccorHotels.
An eco-designed accommodation solution
In line with the Group's commitments and values, the modules were designed with durability in mind: the materials, techniques and equipment are eco-friendly (fair trade amenities, eco-labelled paint, wood cladding from sustainably managed forests, etc.), while the modules run on green energy.
